No. Students of all faiths and denominations are welcome. The school is open to all; however, it should be understood that it is a Catholic institution, and religion classes, monthly liturgical celebrations, and spiritual retreats will be part of your CRNYHS experience.

Students are interviewed and evaluated and their interests and skills are taken into consideration with job placement. Ultimately, the Corporate Work-Study Program team decides where each student will work each year.

An early acceptance application is an application that is submitted before the December Priority Deadline. These applications will be the first ones to be reviewed and considered for admission. Submitting your application by this deadline not only increases your chances of getting accepted, but you will also be one of the first to receive your decision as soon as we announce them in mid-January.

The majority of a student’s tuition is financed through the Corporate Work Study Program, so the most a family would be expected to pay is $200 a month. However, many families may be asked to contribute less than this. All families are required to complete a financial aid form. The actual amount of financial aid awarded will be determined based on each family’s individual need.

Tuition for the 2025-2026 school year is $20,000, however, that is not what you and your family will pay. With the help of our Corporate Work Study Program and private donations, families are responsible for no more than $2,000 per year. Financial aid and scholarships could decrease this amount.

Our priority deadline is December 6th. If you apply by this date you will receive an admission decision on January 22nd, 2025. If you complete the application after December 6th, 2024, your application will be considered if there is still room in the class. The later you apply, the less likely there is to be space, so please apply as soon as possible. An increase in applications and a growing wait list are reasons we can no longer consider late applications once we have met capacity.

Yes. The school environment is designed to reflect the dress and atmosphere of a corporate workplace. As such, the students wear a uniform daily. All students will be taught to dress and groom themselves in a manner appropriate for a professional work environment.

Yes, sports offered include volleyball, basketball, soccer, softball, and baseball. Our sports compete as part of CSAA. Clubs and other activities are determined based on student interest but currently include Choir, Yearbook, Black Student Union, Art Club, Drama, and much more. Payments can be made via check, cash, or credit card to the Finance Office in person, through mail, or over the phone. Recurring payments can be scheduled through the Finance Office. Monthly or quarterly payment options are available. If you are on a payment plan, your tuition payments are due on the first of every month from August through May. Payments are made via Black Baud. Yes. You can elect to take one of the many AP classes we offer and then take an AP test at the conclusion of the class. If you earn a high enough score on the test, you can request that the College Board send the report to your prospective college or university.

Yes. All students participate in the Corporate Work-Study Program for all four years at Cristo Rey New York. Therefore, as a requirement for admission, all students must be 14 years old and have the necessary documentation to be legally employed in the USA. Students who cannot hold a job cannot remain in the academic program.

Yes. The FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment must be completed along with the admissions application. No. We do not require the TACHS, ISEE, or HSPT. We use the grades, standardized test scores, and letters of recommendation that you submit when you apply. If your application is considered for review you will then be invited to come in for an assessment and interview.

For admission to grade 9 or 10 for the 2025-2026 school year, your family’s annual household income generally may not exceed the amount shown below in the second column for your household size.

CRNYHS uses a third party service, FACTS , to determine eligibility and family contribution. All applicants are required to submit their family's federal income tax return through the third party provider. You are also required to submit your parent(s) or guardian(s) W-2 Form to verify your most recent annual income. If you do not file an income tax return or if you do not receive a Form W-2, please contact the admissions team to discuss alternate forms of income documents that may be submitted.

Students earn a majority of their education cost through the Corporate Work Study Program, which provides our schools with a sustainable revenue model that does not rely solely on tuition, traditional fundraising, or government funding. When a Cristo Rey school reaches full enrollment (400 students), the financial model reflects approximately 50% of funds earned through the Corporate Work Study Program, 40% secured through fundraising, and 10% collected from a modest family contribution.

The three biggest responsibilities are to: Provide a supervisor(s) who believes in the program and the success of Cristo Rey New York students. Provide meaningful work for the student and explain to him/her the importance of their role on the team. Provide a positive working environment for the student worker.

Each student worker is expected to attend work each and every day they are assigned. The CWSP has strict rules for student workers missing work for any reason other than illness or family emergency. Student workers are expected to make up any missed days (including days missed for illness or family emergency).

Organizations can get involved in many ways, including hiring a team of students, or sponsoring a team of students to work for a non-profit. Partners provide job opportunities that enable hard working students with limited economic resources an opportunity to receive an affordable, private school education. Partners support the local community by educating New York’s future leaders. Partners bring diversity to the workplace. Partners avoid personnel headaches; the Corporate Work Study team handles all personnel concerns. Partners gain benefit savings; students are employed by the Corporate Work Study Program and therefore our partners do not pay taxes, healthcare, or other employee expenditures. Partners gain reliable workers who are transported to work by the Corporate Work Study Program. Partners hire a trained part-time workforce to draw from as special projects arise during student holidays and summer vacation.

Yes. Students must be at least 14 years old to work for a corporate job partner.

The corporate partner fee goes to CRNYHS not the student, and is applied to the cost of their education. On a partner-by-partner basis, students may have the opportunity to work during holiday and summer breaks. The Corporate Work Study Program manages the processes for pay earned during these breaks, which the students receive directly unless it is for a make-up day.

An on-site supervisor at the corporate work partner company will guide and support students at work. CRNYHS Partnership Associates will coordinate with on-site supervisors to provide the necessary guidance, training, and care that students need to succeed in the workplace. If needed, all disciplinary actions are conducted by Corporate Work Study Program staff.

The United States Department of Labor Code of Federal Regulations, 29 CFR § 570.37, specifically authorizes Cristo Rey Network schools to operate the Corporate Work Study Program within federal child labor laws. Each local Corporate Work Study Program is committed to full compliance with the federal regulation in addition to respective state labor laws. Students must be eligible to work in the United States.

We recommend students interested in transferring to CRNYHS apply in January.

No. We do not take transfer students during the school year because all new students must attend a three-week training session in the summer prior to enrollment.
